Okay, so I can't hold back. I've been working on a short-fic for the

all_unwritten prompt #404: she has your eyes. I really, REALLY want to post it, but it's not done :( So I figured, to curb my need for posting, I'd post a snippet of it. So click the cut and you shall see.....

Prompt 404: she has your eyes

A shadow falls over me. Just from the size and shape of the shadow I can tell it's him; my daughter's father. It's been over four years since we've seen each other, since before Laila was born.

After a moment of silence I say,

"She has your eyes."

& & & & &

And that's seriously all you're getting.

Now I'm going to go write and see if I can't get a good chunk of this finished before I have to shower and get ready for my appointment. Yeah, the one I canceled on Wednesday we rescheduled for today. :) Anyway, let me know what you think of this little snippet. I hope it was teasing enough that you'll consider reading it when I finally finish it ;D
