Other Notes: I'm an ass. First I was writing. Then our internet died in a wind storm over the weekend. We finally got it back today. Then I had finsihed this chapter and was going to start on the seventh, but had to go to bed. Now I'm waiting for my pills to kick in so I can go to sleep. Which is lovely for you b/c you get a new chapter that really should have been up forever ago. I apologize for being a procrastinator.

CHAPTER SIX
"Dada!" Penny exclaims, running in the room.
"Hey! Who let you out of your cage?" Taylor says, scooping up his daughter and setting her on his chest.
"I big girl!" Penny replies.
"What am I going to do with you?" Taylor teases, leaning up to kiss her cheek. The little girl giggles.
At that moment, I slide up next to Taylor so Penny can see me.
"Hi!" I say cheerily. Instantly, her eyes light up.
"Hi!"
"Do you remember me?" I ask.
"Baby, baby, baby!" she giggles.
"That's right. I sang you the Baby Baby song," I tell her. She looks back and forth between her father and me.
"Brefast?" she asks. Taylor smiles.
"You hungry, Baby?" Penny nods, making her whole body shake. "Can Liza eat with us?" Taylor asks. Penny nods again. I grin.
"What's Daddy going to make us for breakfast?" I ask her.
The toddler's face lights up with a beautiful smile.
"Oh's!" she exclaims.
"Oh's?" I reply, giving Taylor a look.
"Cheerioes," he tells me. I nod. Then I look at Penny.
"You want Daddy to get us some Oh's?" I ask.
"Yeah! Some Oh's!" she exclaims. I laugh, standing up, and swing the little girl into my arms. Penny giggles, wrapping her arms around my neck. I head for the door saying, "Come on, Daddy! We're hungry!"
I slide into a seat at the table in the kitchenette with Penny on my lap. Taylor makes himself busy getting out a hott pink plastic bowl and a little tiny spoon.
"So where do you think we are?" I ask. "'Cause, you know, I only live, like, forty-five minutes away from Hampton." Taylor smiles at me as he gets the milk from the fridge.
"I'm pretty sure we've been parked outside your house for the past four or five hours," he tells me.
I whip around to the window to look outside saying,
"We're at my house? Wait, when did the bus stop moving?" Taylor laughs setting a bowl of Cheerioes in front of Penny.
"Like I said, four or five hours ago." I watch as the little girl digs into her cereal with gusto, replying,
"Shows what I know." Taylor laughs again and sits across from us with a mug of coffee. I watch him sip it for a moment, then he looks at me.
"Oh. Did you want some?" he asks. I shake my head.
"I don't really drink coffee." Taylor nods.
As we sit there talking, one by one everyone gets up and makes their way into the kitchenette. I wind up with all the children in the booth with me. We're all laughing and talking when I speak up.
"So when's the last time yall took a shower?" The Hanson siblings' eyes light up.
"Shower?" Jessie asks. I nod.
"Yeah."
"I call first!" she exclaims, running off to get her stuff. I laugh as her brothers groan. Once everyone gets their things in order, I lead them into my house.
Everyone showers and dresses and at some point, Taylor takes off with his sister. He said they were going to go birthday shopping. Isaac, Zac and I are left with the children. At lunchtime, Isaac offers to buy us lunch, so we order pizza.
Just as we're finishing up, Taylor and Jessie come back. They've got shopping bags with them and one looks kinda big. I give the two a sly grin.
"Sooooo. What'd ya get me?" I ask. Taylor grins back at me.
"Wouldn't you like to know." I give him a fake glare and he laughs, taking the bags in the other room.
I offer Jessica a slice of pizza as her brother comes back in the room.
"Hey, Jess, you might wanna hurry it up. We have to take off for the airport soon," Taylor announces. Jessie pouts.
"I'm finally old enough to go to the fun parties and I'm still missing out!" I try to hold back a laugh while the others just let it out. Jessie throws her pizza crust at Zac.
"Heeey!" he whines. Jessie sticks out her tongue. Zac just pouts.
When it's time for Jessie to leave, she says goodbye to the kids and two of her brothers. I offered to go to the airport with her and Taylor. The ride was actually fun. Jessie and I talked and giggled the whole way. Taylor mostly stayed silent. I was pretty bummed when we finally had to leave Jessie. I'd been having fun and just getting to know her. But we exchanged emails and cell phone numbers so we could keep in touch. And who knows, maybe I'll get to see her again sometime.
As Taylor pulls onto the highway, he speaks.
"You and Jessie seemed to click really well," he says. I smile, turning to look at him.
"Yeah. I like her. She's cool." Taylor smiles, keeping his eyes on the road.
"Like her more than me?" he asks. I smirk.
"That's my little secret," I tell him.
"No fair," he pouts.
"Well, okay, if you promise not to tell."
"Cross my heart."
"You're obviously my favorite," I tell him. "I don't know how you ever doubted me." Taylor chuckles quietly.
"What was I thinking?" he jokes.
"Temporary Insanity," I giggle. Taylor laughs.
"Most likely."
The rest of the ride is pretty quiet. But it's a completely comfortable silence.
Stay Tuned For Chapter SEVEN!!!
I promise there's a bday party comin!
