CHAPTER FIVE
The next morning Bella woke to the feel of something, or someone, rubbing against her nose. She swatted at it, or him, she wasn’t sure which. She faintly remembered dreaming that Tommy, Adam and the rest had a hotel night and Cherry had shacked up with Cam while Bella stayed with Tommy. But Bella suddenly realized it wasn’t a dream when she felt a tender kiss being pressed to her neck. “Mm,” she murmured, opening her eyes half-way and there he was. There was her Tommy Joe, her fierce little pixie.
“Hey,” he murmured quietly, brushing his nose against Bella’s again.
“Good morning, my fierce pixie,” Bella replied, running her fingers through his sleep rumpled hair.
He made a face. “Do you really have to call me a pixie? I mean, the fierce part is cool, but pixie?”
Bella laughed quietly. “I’m sorry, babe, but your features… they’re sort of… well, pixie-like,” she told him honestly. “But trust me, you are the fiercest, hottest pixie I’ve ever seen.”
Tommy grinned. “Oh really?”
Bella nodded. “Yup.”
“Well, maybe being a fierce, hot pixie isn’t so bad after all. Well, as long as you’re the only one calling me that,” he said.
“I have a better name for you, but Adam took it before I could,” Bella pouted.
Tommy chuckled. “What? Glitterbaby?” he asked. “You want to call me Glitterbaby?”
Bella bit her lip and nodded. “Yeah, I mean, it’s cute and kinda sexy.” She shrugged. “Why not?”
Tommy grinned at her. “You’re kind of a dork, you know that?”
Bella returned the grin. “Well isn’t that why you love me?” she teased. A faint blush rose on Tommy’s pale cheeks. “Oh my god,” Bella murmured. “So last night, when you said you loved me, that part wasn’t a dream?” Tommy shook his head no. “Tommy… I don’t know what to say.”
“Don’t say anything,” he whispered. “Just know I love you and I’ll wait for as long as it takes for you to say it back.”
“But, Tommy, I… I already do. Love you, I mean,” she told him.
“You do?” he asked.
“Yeah, don’t you remember me telling you that last night?” Bella furrowed her brow. Maybe that part had been a dream, she thought.
“To be honest, by the time we got to that point in the night, I was pretty sleepy and this morning has last night looking a little fuzzy,” Tommy answered. “You know, like when you have a dream and it’s fuzzy and the harder you try to remember, the fuzzier it gets?” Bella nodded. “Well, when I get over-tired, that sometimes happens.”
“Do you remember the making out and the hand job and the oral?” Bella asked with a smirk.
Tommy threw his head back and laughed. “How could I forget?” he responded with a grin.
“Well, I just had to make sure,” Bella told him, wrapping her arms around his neck. “You know, just in case we needed to have a reenactment.” She wiggled her eyebrows at him.
“Hey, now, just because I can remember doesn’t mean we don’t need a reenactment,” Tommy stated.
Bella buried her face in his neck to muffle her giggles. “You’re so cute,” she laughed.
“Mm, so are you,” he murmured. Bella pulled back to look at him. He had this soft, sweet expression on his face that made her heart do a little flip-flop. Then he leaned in and gently rubbed his nose against hers in an Eskimo kiss. Bella sighed quietly, letting her eyes slide shut. “Still sleepy?” Tommy asked.
She shook her head. “No, just…” She sighed again. “Happy,” she told him. Then with her eyes open, “And loved. Definitely feeling happy and loved right now and I don’t want it to end.”
Before Bella’s eyes could even begin to tear up, Tommy pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Don’t be sad, baby,” he murmured.
“Can’t help it,” she mumbled as the waves in her eyes began to swell.
“Don’t cry, my sweet Angel,” he replied softly. “Save your tears for someone who’s worth it.”
“Don’t talk like that,” Bella scolded. “You are so worth every drop that leaks from my eyes. I promise you that.” Then she pecked him lightly on the mouth. “Don’t ever think you’re not worthy of me.”
Tears formed in the corners of Tommy’s eyes. “There’s just been a lot of heart-break, ya know?”
Bella swept Tommy’s long bangs back from his face as she nodded. “You just point out all those girls to me and I’ll kick their asses, okay?”
Tommy laughed, his head dropping forward for a moment. He grinned his little impish grin. “Okay.”
Bella smirked at the beautiful man before her. “So uh, you think there’s unlimited hot water in these rooms?”
“And why would you be asking me that question?” Tommy asked with raised brows.
“Oh you know,” Bella leaned up to rub her nose back and forth against Tommy‘s, “Eskimo kisses in the rain.”
“I love the way you think,” he murmured, gently rubbing his nose against Bella’s again.
She sighed. “You know you give the best Eskimo kisses ever?”
“Yeah, well, I’ve had a lot of practice,” Tommy replied.
Bella giggle-snorted and patted him on the ass. “Come on, my fierce pixie, lets rub noses under the shower head.”
