Don't Even Matter Now.....
Sep. 13th, 2007 02:22 pmLife has been crazy lately. Absolutely ridiculous infact.
First off, my mom gave me a nasty-ass cold that has just been kicking my ass. The coughing is so bad at times, I gag and almost throw up. Yeah, that was a little TMI. Oh well. So both of us our sick and we're not really doing anything. We just grocery shopped for the first time in weeks and it wasn't really grocery shopping. We just picked up a few things to get us through the rest of this week.
The thing that really was first to set off the craziness was the fact that our neighbors are getting divorced. It's just....None of us saw this coming. It's so weird b/c they seemed to be the perfect couple ever. But Joyce hasn't been happy for, like, a year and Ken finally picked up and moved out. What's bad is that, I was really bonded with Ken. I mean, I always got him presents and cards on father's day b/c he deserved it more than my dad. I dunno. It's totally confusing and weird and makes me uncomfortable.
The next thing to come, was Joyce had to have her daughter move back in with her or she couldn't afford to stay next door. But then they got a call from the landlords saying that THEY were splitting up and it was a green light for Lynn to move in with Joyce. ---they live in a duplex. Lynn and the kids in the little house, and Ken & Joyce were in the big house.--- But then Jason (one landlord) told Lynn to be out ASAP b/c he was going to move into the little house b/c he had no place to go since he and his gf were breaking up. So Jason and his dad showed up the next day and litterally just started taking Lynn's things from the house and just piling them into Joyce's place. It was a complete fucking disaster! It still is. I mean, it's just crazy to move someone out within 24-hours. And Mom and I helped even tho we were totally sick.
Plus, the hamster has been staying with us b/c Lynn wasn't allowed to have pets. But since the landlords lived far away and never came up, she got a cat and a hamster. But she made up some story about looking after the cat for her boyfriend while his roommates were dog-sitting. And then she just asked Jason if she was allowed to keep the cat and he said he didn't care what kind of animals they had as long as they didn't get any bigger than a cat. The whole no pets thing was his girlfriend's deal, but since he's getting the duplex, she has no say anymore.
Things are just fucking insane. And then my dad called me the other night when I was at the neighbors' for dinner. He left a message and sounded like shit. He pulled or teared some of the muscles between his ribs and now it hurts to breathe and talk and whatever. Then he called me back last night for literally 5 minutes. Apparently yesterday was the graveside service for my great-aunt Annie. She was Pa's sister. Pa was my dad's dad. Was because he's dead. So it's like, thanks for telling me AFTER the fact. Maybe I wanted to go to the service. Not that I really would have, b/c I don't remember her. But whatever. This is how he works. He tells me things after the fact so that I have no chance in going. Whatever.
So that's how my life has been going for the last, like, 2 weeks. It's all very crazy and confusing and I just want to sleep for 42 days and wake up to everything being back to normal....or some semblence of normal. I just want to get back to writing and finish up Breaking Free and get thru Super Nanny so I can start on one of the millions of ideas floating through my head. I keep getting little plot bunnies, but I really want to finish the two stories that I haven't gotten through yet before I do that. I was doing really well with finishing stories before going on to the next, but now I'm having trouble. wtf?!
Anyway, that's my life update for now.
Talk to you later.
