1. Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
2. Turn to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post that sentence along with these instructions in your LiveJournal.
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

"I take my time"

* * *

Is it weird that my line ended up kinda, sorta being in reference to a Hanson song?

I think so.

And if you'd like to know, the line was from Notes from the Country Club by Kim Wozencraft. And on the cover it says:

A harrowing novel of broken promises and deadly threats that drive a battered woman to kill her husband.

Hmmmm. Maybe I should finally read this.

Thanks! Yeah the idea came to me after looking over the past challenges I had participated in. They were all awesome and fun, but we wanted to make one that was completely different. I figured this was the best way to get people to write something they haven't tried before. So, go for your idea! We're excited to see what you come up with!!!

I just realized I have a question about the challenge, well, two actually.

1. After writing begins, how long do we have to wait to start posting? (ie: if we're doing a chapter story)

2. I have the Romance / Love category, does it have to be written from a hanson POV or can it be from the POV of the character they're in love with?

Let me know.
And I'm definitely excited to start writing!!! X)~

Great questions!
1. You can start posting the first day of writing (aka Feb. 2nd) if you'd like! [livejournal.com profile] mizzc and I are doing a collaboration with chapters and we've already started on the writing just because we knew we'd be doing a lot of work with you guys. So, yeah you can start writing now and then post the chapters whenever you want (post Feb. 2nd of course.)

2. Nope it does not have to be from Hanson's POV. It CAN be from their POV though or from whichever person/character you'd prefer. Doesn't matter. The Romance/Love story genre was our "free-for-all". Just write about who and what you want.

As previously stated, I'm excited to read your story! Oh, [livejournal.com profile] mizzc and I wanted to tell all of the writers that if you're writing Hancest or a story with a lot of graphic, adult content then please put a rating or warning label on the main page of your story somewhere so readers will be aware. Sorry, I just saw you liked Hancest and wanted to go ahead and let you know. ;-)

I give a rating 99.9% of the time. The only time I haven't is when I've used a writing prompt from [livejournal.com profile] all_unwritten and it's not something huge and spectacular. But I always make ratings for regular stories, so that shouldn't be a promblem. And anyway, this one is actually going to be het. SHOCK! ;)
I'm going to start getting it down on paper today.....hopefully. lol

And thank you so much for answering my questions. It definitely helped.
