I would just like to say that it pisses me off when people want to breed their animals when so many people can't afford to keep their animals because of this economy. It especially pisses me off when they want to do it just to get it out of his system before we get him fixed. WTF?!?! animals are not people in the way that having sex is emotional and sharing your love. It's just breeding and a means of survival. It's also stupid to advertise wanting to breed your dog on a site that specifically says NO ANIMAL BREEDING.

People are fucking stupid.

P.S. I've said before that if I got a gecko I'd like to breed it. But that is more out of an educational standpoint, not for selling. And I'm not sure I'd even do that.

I know, I sound like a hypocrit.

It pisses me off that everyone in my family buys stupid $400 "purebred" dogs. Our mutts are MUCH smarter, healthier, and more loving. At least they don't breed the dogs, but they're still supporting the problem. There are PLENTY of dogs that are put to death every day, just because no one wants them or can afford them... there is no excuse to breed dogs for pets. I can see breeding dogs for seeing eye dogs, because not just any dog would be good for that, but that's about it. I do personally know people who have bred their dogs and I think less of them as people. Dogs can die while giving birth, just like humans can. Why would anyone put their pet through that?

When I get my own place, I'll probably have tons of rescue animals. I have 2 dogs and a cat right now, all rescued, but we just don't have room for more.

I know, it sucks. Shelters are SO overcrowded right now just because of the recession. And if someone really wants a purebred, there are always rescue groups that deal with certain breeds. You could probably find a rescue group for almost any breed. I just don't understand people sometimes. Why would u want to bring unwanted animals into the world? And it's not really that they're unwanted, people can barely feed their families as of late let alone an animal. I think it's just crazy.
