Dear Miss Ducky,
You've been MIA on AIM today. So I thought I'd update you here. Instead of going thru it all again, just read the post before this.

Don't worry I'll wait.

Did u finish? Well okay then. Let's get back to what I wanted to say to you.

I'm all anxious right now. I don't know if I'll be able to sleep.

I wish you were here right now. We could cuddle on my teeny twin size bed and you could tell me everything is gonna be okay. I guess I need a little reassurance .....and maybe some chocolate ;)

This is one of those times when I wish you just lived next door. Or at least in the same time zone so it's easier to catch each other on the intraweb. I wish I could have a real hug. Really I'm just dying for some human affection

I think I'll get going to bed now.
Maybe cry some. I feel so emotionally icky.

I love you and I miss you

Love Always,
amanda: jaclyn's twin sister♥

Ps maybe u should come up with a way for me to sign these private posts between us. Give me a cool nickname.

My sister Jessica is 34 weeks pregnant this week. She's having twins, a boy & a girl. She's been on bedrest since the end of June. She was mad because she only had a day and a half left till the school year was over. Oh btw, she's an 8th grade science teacher.

So anyway we got a call tonight from my brother-in-law Ian stating that Jessica was having contractions and they were at the hospital. She's there for observation.

Depending on what they say when they call us back, we may be going to Conneticut tomorrow. Which only sucks bc I had plans with Aubs. I haven't seen her since she moved years and years ago. Like ten years ago. We have so much to catch up on. But alas it could all be ruined with one phone call.

I can't really blame my sister tho. Just they can't be born now bc their blankets are finished yet!

I'm freaking out. I don't know if I'll get any sleep tonight. And I need the sleep. I've been falling asleep before dinner because of the weird sleep schedule my internal clock is running. I hate it.

I wish I had someone here that would snuggle me and tell me everything's gonna be okay.

So if I'm MIA tomorrow for more than an hour or two I've probably gone to conneticut to see babies being born.

Goodnight.

Bite Me

Like the subject line? It's about my baby Froy. He's a gerbil. His brother is Scout. They rock. But unfortunately I've decided they must go back to Petco. It's a very hard decision to make because they are the cutest and I could watch them for hours and feed them treats until they are too full. But the thing is, they've been locked in my bedroom since the day I got them. I mean I play with them but it's hard because of Buddy. He finds the gerbs a little too interesting. He even dove in the cage last week when I had the door open and had Froy in my hands. Unfortuneately Scout was in the cage in his house and that's where Buddy's paw went. Luckily there were no physical injuries. But now Froy won't stop biting and he wasn't even the one attacked. With Scout, I can stick my finger thru the bars of the cage and he runs against it or holds on to it. Froy will just try to bite it off.

Buddy is always after them. It's not fair to anyone; the gerbs, the cat or me, because I don't get to play with them freely. I think it's best if they find a new home. I hate to say that. I love my gerbs. I'd rather my mom take them back to Petco but I'm the one who signed the adoption papers so I have to take them back. Ugh. This sucks hardcore. I should have brought them back as soon as Buddy tried to knock the cage off the bureau. Which was the day I got them. I would have been less attached at that point. But I wanted to see if Buddy would calm down if he had supervised visits with the gerbs in the cage and the cage on the floor. But nope that didn't work. He just tries to grab them thru the bars. Good thing his paws are big or else he'd get one in. It just really sucks. I had big plans for those guys, or at least as big as you can get for gerbils.

Also, we have an opportunity to get two more cats named Jake and Junior. They're my sister's cats. I guess with the twins coming, she and her husband want to get rid of them. If no one takes them and they have to bring them back to the shelter where they got them, I'll cry. Jake would get adopted in a split second. He's a big cuddle bug and loves everyone and he talks which is cute. But Junior? He's one of those cats that would probably be considered unadoptable. He was born on the streets and is still afraid of people. Well except for the ones he lives with. He's a feral kitty and I didn't see him once when I was at their house on Saturday. Jake on the other hand followed us all day. Then Mom tells me that if Jess n Ian had told us back in January that they were going to get rid of them, Mom wouldn't have adopted Buddy and she would have just taken Jake and Junior. Doesn't she know you can't say those things to me? But whatever. Mom says she'd be willing to take one but doubts they'd separate them. But ya know they might have to. I told Mom that if they did, we were taking Junior because he would never make it at a shelter because of his feral backround. She agreed. I doubt we'll even take the one though. *sigh*

On another note I've been having a good past few days. It's probably been about a week now. No deppression. But that could change after another week of downpours. Ick.

Did I also mention that I LOVE when Adam Lambert sings Black & White? Yeah, it makes me happy. Also love when Kris Allen sings Heartless.

And one last thing before I go. I signed up for The Spark Inside summer challenge. This year the hanfics are a collaboration effort. Last week I found out I'm partnered with Rene C ([livejournal.com profile] mizzc) — I can't remember if she spells it with one "e" or two. Oh well! LOL. But this should be very interesting and the stories won't be posted until September 1st. It's an all summer thing.

So that's it for now.

I've been asked to share my most recent knitting projects and because I'm Miss Forgetful, I forgot to take pictures of Roy the Chihuahua in his sweaters. But don't worry, I've still got one more for him to finish and I'll get pictures then. As for now, here are some pictures of the baby blanket I'm working on for my sister's baby..... It's only the first of two b/c she's having twins, 1 boy, 1 girl. But the blankets will be the same colors as I have somehow managed to pick the nursery colors without even seeing what my sister has bought. =D
Here is blanket for Twin #1:

This is the full blanket I have as of yesterday. Today the blue stripe on top is finished and I'm working on a second green stripe :)

Pic #2:

This is an up-close pic so you can see more detail.

And pic number three has nothing to do with knitting )

THE END!

So yesterday my mom and grandma left for Connecticut. My sister was getting an award for teacher of the year. It was 40bucks a ticket. Good thing I decided not to go, it would've been 80$ just for my mom and me.

I got to go to the neighbors' for dinner. It's been a long time since I did that. We had awesome chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing and cranberry sauce. It was a really good dinner. And it was fun to hang out with them. Roy the Chihuahua looks so much healthier too. He was a bundle of joy :) Joyce, the boys & I took him for a walk to the corner store. Many people stopped us along the way. Roy enjoyed it. Then later Lynn & I took him for another walk to the store. He's so funny b/c he practically ran the whole way. It was cute.

When I left them, Gail came over to spend the night. I got to see pictures of her niece's newborn twins. They're so small & cute even with all their preemie monitors and what-not. I also got to see pictures from Matt from his cabin in the woods in Seattle. He has such a tiny bunk.

By 3o'clock today I still hadn't heard from my mom and Jeff & Gail kept calling to see if they had gotten back. Gail called like 5 times. So I finally called my mom's cell. She said they'd be home around 5pm. Apparently they stopped to do some shopping. They got me something but I don't know what. Mom didn't call while she was gone b/c she didn't think she needed to. When she's going on a four hour trip I expect her to call at least when she gets there to say they made it alright. Also they've been known to catch a car on fire on their way home, stranded somewhere in Connecticut. So basically they should have called at some point.

But now I know the approximate time they should be home. And I think we're having left over chinese food for dinner which sounds really appealing at the moment ;)

So that is all from this neck of the woods for now. Talk later.

So, this week has been very exciting so far. On Monday my dad has his replacement hip replaced. No, I'm not kidding. The hip they put in him last year was recalled so they had to put a new one in. But my younger sister Vanessa — Teeny Tiny Andrew's mom — says Dad's doing good and he should be home in a few days.

Vanessa also told me that the day my dad had his surgery was the day our new niece Makenzie Marie was born.

Also found out from my aunt that my older sister Jessica has heard both heartbeats. Yes, both. She's having twins.

Also, I get to see Jaci's new apartment on Friday. If she has the money, she's going to take me out for dinner for my bday. It'll be fun. Maybe I'll get to see Dora the Doggie.

Then on Saturday my mom and I are going to petco or petsmart to get ready for a new kitty. Then we'll go to the Concord-Merrimack County SPCA to adopt a new cat. I have my eye on a little cutie named Buddy. But we don't know if we'll get him that day since they have to approve our adoption application. But here's a picture of my little Buddy.

Ain't he cute? He reminds me of my sister's cats.

Okay, on to Saturday night. The whole gang is going out to Newicks for my birthday dinner on my actual bday. I can get my meal free or up to ten dollars off. It's our new family tradition.......well since last year when Newicks came to Concord.

Anyway that's my update on my Birthday Week.

Love always,
amanda: jaclyn's twin sister ♥

So my brother's fiancé had a baby girl yesterday. Her name is Mackenzie Marie. That makes me an aunt 5 times over. Then in late August / early September I'll be an aunt twice b/c my sister is having twins. My family is getting huge!

Also, my dad had his recalled hip replacement taken out yesterday and a new one put in. Hopefully it won't be another one that gets recalled. This is his second hip replacement in less than a year. He's old and has a list of health problems the length of my arm. I really hope this works out for him.

Well, that is all for now. I'll talk to you later.

My sister was supposed to have her second ultrasound done today, but she hasn't called us yet. That either means something's wrong like the pregnancy wasn't viable or we're last on her list to inform of good news. It's probably the first one. Usually if it's good news, she calls when she's leaving the doctor's.

Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Apparently Nani is doing better. So that's good. She's out of ICU now, but I don't know when she'll be going home.

Michaels is having a dope sale on yarn this week and hopefully I'll be getting some for my Mindless Knitting, TV Watching, Super Scraps Afghan. I started it today. It's looking good so far.

Also, the other day when I went to michaels I got a 40% off coupon. Plus there was another one in the sale papers today! I'm rockin with the coupons this week. Hopefully I can get some more circular needles and lots of little balls of yarn to play around with for this afghan, baby afghan. Now shhhhhhh. I'm not supposed to tell anyone but............... My older sister Jessica is pregnant with twins! But we're not supposed to tell cuz she's less than 7 weeks and they've had a difficult time getting to this point. But anyway, I've taken a little time off from the KNITS for Kids thing to work on the baby blankets. My mom is also knitting a baby blanket.

Also, I want to start looking at cats for adoption. I know it seems really early, but I've been preparing for Logan's early demise since she was about a year old and we found out she had a heart murmur. Also, I've been wanting to get another cat since we put MnM down. And I don't know, but I think being with Logan when she passed helped give me, like, instant closure or something. I dunno. Maybe I just really miss her company and her bedtime cuddles. I kinda feel like I need a replacement.

See, the thing is, I'm disabled and can't work. Basically I'm home alone all day and my kitties were the ones that kept me company while everyone is at work. Now I don't have that. I've actually resorted to sleeping with my Clark's Trained Bear: Soggle aka Soggie Bear. Then tonight my mom's friend Mike brought me 2 cat Beanie Buddies telling me that he knew he could never replace Logan but hopefully these would help. He's a sweet guy. Now I know why my mom has been friends with him since high school :)

I'm off to sleep now.
Sweet dreams F-listers

[EDIT]

The afghan is actually called: The Mindless Knitting, TV Watching, Scrap User-Upper Afghan. Just thought I should get it right. =D
